Mary Brooksbank School Celebrates 20 Years of Education Term 3, 2007

Mary Brooksbank School celebrated 20 years of Education for students with special learning needs last week. We were delighted to have many attend our assembly. They included Brian Smyth-King, founding principal and Director of Disability Programs NSW Department of Education and Training, Aaron rule Mayor of Campbelltown, Phil cost local member for Wollondilly, Sal Saad and Petra Sutton from Macarthur Sunrise Rotary Club.

We had 4 of the 6 last Principals in attendance Brian Smyth-King, Linda McLaughlin, Greg Homer and of course Diane Robertson. Andy Best (who passed his apologies) was in Canada and sent us 20 trees that represent each and every year the school has been in operation.

We also were very pleased to see many pas parents, students, bus drivers, cleaners, Parents and Citizens Association Presidents and friends. Special mention needs to be made of Dot Henderson who has been a cleaner at the school for 20 years. A specially big thank you goes to Ewa Ciszewka, Melanie Mulholland and Marlene Saad for all their work in preparing for the day. We had a fantastic cake complete with logo and every special guest received a school mug and chocolates.
